About us

The concert institution Saulė was established by the Šiauliai City Municipality in 2009. The institution is a promoter of professional musical art, uniting three groups of professional music performers - a wind orchestra, a chamber orchestra and a big band orchestra.

All three ensembles have prepared programmes of classical and contemporary music, which they perform in concerts and tours in Lithuania and abroad.

In pursuit of its objectives, the institution performs the following functions: organising the creation and public performance of professional performing arts (concerts, festivals, competitions, other artistic programmes), organising and conducting educational programmes, organising tours in Lithuania and abroad to present the professional music of Lithuania and of other nations.
